AFTER more than 15 years of nothing being done to try to save a delapidating Listed thatched cottage near Yeoford, and pleas to Mid Devon District Council to see what can be done to rescue the cottage, in the last few days windows have been boarded up.

This is part of the work listed in papers posted on the front door of the property, Bell Cottage, by Mid Devon District Council.

Despite letters from neighbours about the cottage and from Crediton Hamlets Parish Council and others over the past decade and a half, nothing has been done until this summer.

The district council had years of growth covering the front of the cottage cut away but some has begun to regrow.

The tax disc on the car parked at the front is dated 2008.
