BOTH Crediton fire crews attended a fire involving a microwave oven at an address in Searle Street, Crediton, at about 5.15pm on Wednesday, January 6.

The fire crews used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said that the ventilation fan was used due to a heavily smoke logged kitchen.

The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
