?THE fascinating story of a Sandford farmer’s life and the house that has its own prison and ghost is featured in a book which will be on sale at Crediton Farmers’ Market tomorrow, Saturday, December 8.

Farmer and former Devon County Councillor Michael Lee, launched the book “Dowrich - The Story of an old Devon House and its Farm”, which tells the story of his life in farming and his lifelong connection with the extraordinary house called Dowrich in December 2017.

Sales have been going well and Michael thinks the book would make an ideal Christmas gift for anyone locally.

“Dowrich - The Story of an old Devon House and its Farm” is published as an A4 hardback edition comprising 128 pages.

It is priced at £20 and £5 from each book sale goes to Sandford Church Appeal.
