A CHARITY Tractor Run will take place on Sunday, July 30 in aid of Devon Air Ambulance and another charity.
It is being arranged by Richard Gunn, owner of RDG Tractor Restoration, based in Morchard Bishop.
He is organising it in memory of his father, the late David Gunn, a local farmer who sadly passed away two years ago of dementia.
The event is a double celebration of both David Gunn and 20 years of Richard being in business.
Tractor owners are asked to email or call to register their tractor entries for the day to: [email protected] or telephone 07969 402834.
The event is kindly being hosted at The London Inn, Morchard Bishop.
The tractors will congregate in the field that belongs to the pub from 10am, where spectators and tractor owners alike can check each others tractors out and the run will depart from the Pub at 11am.
The route will go from Morchard Bishop to Black Dog to Puddington, Woolfardisworthy, Poughill, Cheriton Fitzpaine, Sandford and then back to Morchard Bishop and is expected to take about an hour-and-a-half.
Those taking part return back to the pub and can then park again in the field.
The route can be found at: https://www.maps.ie/map-my-route/viewMap.php?route=256226 .
There will be entertainment in the pub garden and food and drink can be purchased from the pub.
Richard said this is very much a family event and there will be plenty of things for everyone to do whilst the tractors are out on their run.
Devon Air Ambulance will be attending the event and money raised from it will go towards DAA and another charity, possibly Dementia UK, but this is yet to be confirmed.
