IF you care about the environment, hate litter and have an artistic eye why not enter a new competition to design a logo for a new partnership, dedicated to cleaning up our countryside – and if your design wins, you’ll win £100!
Clean Devon will be launched in the New Year and will see environmental groups, emergency services, businesses and local authorities join forces to combat the scourge of litter and fly-tipping.
We’ve all been for a walk in a park, down a country lane or across a field only to find discarded rubbish, an abandoned fridge or a pile of chipboard in our path.
This environmental vandalism blights communities; litter and fly-tipping is not only unsightly, it is a growing financial burden on society. It can have serious public health consequences and impacts on our agriculture, wildlife and tourist industry.
It is critical that litter and fly-tipping is tackled with an innovative, enterprising approach – and that’s why Clean Devon is being formed.
Each group will share expertise and intelligence and work with businesses, communities and parish councils to put a stop to it.
The designer of the winning entry will win £100 and their design will be used across all Clean Devon promotional materials.
Entries should be submitted by November 22 through the Recycle Devon website: https://www.recycledevon.org/design-a-logo .
