TEDBURN ST MARY school field was abuzz on Saturday afternoon with its summer fair, run by the Friends of Tedburn St Mary School in aid of the school.

There were performances by Tedburn Community Choir, a judo display, the WI judging the Bake Off where the cakes were later sold.

Emily Shipley won the junior class of the Bake Off with a Surprise cake, a rainbow sponge cake with Smarties and other small sweets in the centre - a real surprise.

Adult winner was Sue Welsh with a lemon cake. There had been 10 entries in each class.

A silent auction had more than 20 lots that included a free MoT, family entrance to attractions such as Pennywell Farm, Woodlands, Castle Drogo, two tickets for Somerset cricket, and many more superb lots.

There was also a raffle for a big hamper.
