SAM Way, ex-student at Queen Elizabeth’s School Crediton, releases his EP this week featuring his widely acclaimed songs.

He heads an evening of original and established songs at Moose Hall on Monday, October 12.

Now based in London, Sam began writing songs on the piano at the age of 16.

His father, also a musician, taught him some chords on the guitar, which upon moving to London to pursue a career in modelling, quickly became his principal instrument.

His musical influences range from UK-Hip Hop to Breakbeat and from Classical through to Dubstep and his many summers spent at festivals like Womad as a young boy listening to world music and poetry have helped shape his sound.

Now focusing on writing, collaborating and performing Sam has recently collaborated with Matt Henry (The Voice) and worked with William Baker (creative director behind Kylie Minouge/Outcast/Rihanna) on his music video to “Golden Soldier.”

Other artist appearing include Anna Pancaldi, Dave Treadaway and Nanette McClennand.

Admission will be £5 at the door.

There will be a bar and all are invited to attend.
