MEMBERS of the Den Brook Community Fund committee met in April to review applications for projects submitted for the first round of funding.

The committee voted to award funds to the following organisations: First North Tawton Scout Group, North Tawton Amateur Football Club, First Bow Scout Group, Bow Productions, Zeal Monachorum Parish Council and North Tawton Bowling Club.

The grants awarded contributed towards a Defibrillator, specialist mowing equipment, a boat house, camping equipment and a public address system.

Applications for new projects from voluntary organisations, clubs and societies based in the five parishes to benefit from the community fund established after completion of the Den Brook Wind Farm are now invited for the next round of funding to be awarded.

The closing date for applications will be July 31, 2018.
