CITIZENS Advice Torridge, North, Mid and West Devon has issued a heartfelt thanks to their volunteers and staff for their response across the region to the Coronavirus crisis.

During the month of April, Citizens Advice TNMWD helped in excess of 1,100 people find a way forward with the problems they are facing.

Daniel Burton, Advice Services Manager passed on his thanks on behalf of the Citizens Advice TNMWD.

He said: “Today marks eight weeks since we last opened our doors to the public, and since then we have been doing everything that we can to continue delivering our service as normal entirely by telephone and other digital platforms.

"Citizens Advice TNMWD could not deliver on its promise to provide our local communities with the advice and support they require without our wonderful workforce.?"Today, we are saying big thank you for everyone’s hard work and commitment.”

Citizens Advice TNMWD has 60 volunteers and 28 staff members working from home remotely at present. All have adapted quickly to new ways of working and have embraced the challenges that came with it.

During the coming weeks and months, Citizens Advice TNMWD plans to bring more volunteers online to support the important work supporting its clients.
