ELIZABETHAN-era historical adventure novels by Exeter-based author Jonathan Posner are now available to buy from The Bookery on Crediton High Street.
In the first book, “The Witchfinder’s Well”, an event planner for a Tudor England era manor time-travels back to the same manor in 1565, where she must defend herself from accusations of witchcraft.
She comes under the protection of the manor’s owner, whose portrait she’s been absorbed with for some time, and according to modern history, is about to be murdered.
Her challenge is to save him from his fate - and save herself from the witchfinder.
In its sequel “The Alchemist’s Arms”, she discovers a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth, which only she can prevent.
What does she have to sacrifice in order to get to the assassin and stop him from killing the Queen?
