A CREDITON woman who tripped and fell, sustaining serious injuries to her arm, says she is considering suing Devon County Council because of the poor state of the pavement.
Linda Savage-Jones tripped after stumbling at a dip in a pavement in Bowden Hill, Crediton and says that she landed badly on top of her arm.
An ambulance attended and after being treated at the scene Linda was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for treatment and x-rays.
She said: “The ambulance service and the hospital staff were amazing.
“The ambulance crew put my arm in a special support to stop it moving and when I got to the hospital I was given gas and air and morphine injections.
“I had two x-rays and it was found that my joint bone was fractured.”
Linda has taken advice from Crediton CAB a possible claim.
“There was a pit in the pavement and that is why I fell,” she said.
