PLANNERS No! Please don't let happen to Crediton what has happened in Cullompton, where they have taken lovely street side parking and are making it into pedestrian seating.

Please planners don't forget the A377 Exeter to Barnstaple, Tiverton to Okehampton main road goes through Crediton, there is no by-pass to avoid the town.

Who wants to sit beside a busy road with lorries, farm machinery, cars and buses continually going past. The traffic fumes would be terrible.

We have a lovely alfresco seating area in the market square.

And buses, please don't forget the split-site of our secondary school, and in term-time the 10 to 12 buses that go up and back twice every day!

And please don't forget all the people that use Crediton from the out-lying villages.

We are able to pop into town, easily park, pick up fresh bread, local fruit and veg, collect a prescription, and be gone in half-an-hour.

We'll just end up doing it all at the supermarket. Don't kill the uniqueness of our lovely high street.
