IN my view, planning permission for ALL new build developments should be put on hold, pending improvements in access from Crediton to the rest of the world. 

In the two years since I’ve lived here, traffic on the A377 to Exeter has increased, and is at walking pace during peak times, and the road to Tedburn has become a reversing nightmare. 

More houses will only compound the problems. Build more houses fine, but only when the current road infrastructure is dramatically improved.
