FOR 25 years the charity, Farming Community Network, has been offering practical and pastoral support to farming families through hard times.

During the Covid-19 crisis, FCN volunteers have continued to support those in need through email and telephone support.

Many of the FCN 25th anniversary celebrations have had to be postponed until next year, including a group of 10 young and older farmers undertaking a 25-mile hike across Dartmoor.

Devon FCN Assistant Co-ordinator, Joanne Jones, decided she would like to do her own 25-mile walk in aid of the charity and as part of the celebrations.

Joanne completed her walk on Sunday, May 24, around the Mid Devon area.

She was joined for 10 miles by fellow Devon Co-Ordinator, Colin Smallacombe.

Joanne and Colin have so far raised around £500, but further donations would be welcomed.

These can be made via their justgiving website page at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Jo-Jones42   .

The page will remain open until the 10 volunteers complete their proposed walk in aid of the charity next year.
