JAMES Lock (Jim) of James Antiques created a window display in his High Street shop in Crediton in honour of his father, Faithful Lock, during Remembrance.

Faithful fought in World War One and received the Military Medal in 1918.

He signed up for the Royal Marines on April 2, 1917 at the age of 18 years and served in the Light Infantry as a Private.

It is believed that he fought in France and possibly in Belgium. He was discharged on March 2, 1919 in consequence of Demobilisation and returned to Yeo Farm at Sampford Peverell.

Faithful was born in Halberton near Tiverton in 1897 and died in 1970.
