IT was a scorching day for Newton St Cyres Village Revels on Sunday, July 8.
Hundreds of people went along to the bi-ennial event which is run to provide a fun time out for all the family whilst enabling local good causes to raise much needed funds.
It was again held at the Recreation Ground and there was free parking opposite courtesy of the Quicke family.
There were lots of activities to keep visitors entertained including the first visit by magician Shaun Moon.
The sporting challenge saw many teams take part in various activities.
The Giant Inflatable Challenge was popular and the ceilidh band “Pigs Might Fly” entertained.
Circus acts were by Ben Cornish.
There was a hog roast and barbecue, despite the hot weather, but also popular were the bar, French Cafe, teas and cakes and ice creams.
There was a display of martial arts, exhibitions, stalls and other competitions.
