MANY thanks for printing our letter on the proposed development of land at Fordton adjacent to the level crossing (Crediton Courier June 28).

However the quote that headed the letter, admittedly taken from the letter, did give the wrong impression about where we stand on this issue.

Our true feelings on this issue would become apparent if you take the time to read the whole letter.

This is an ill-advised development. Fordton has had its fair share of building over recent months but all with good access and services.

This proposal flies in the face of increased congestion and environmental disruption.
