“In Times Like These”
The times we live in seem so strange, the silent roads no noisy planes,
To get an understanding why, I’ll do my best and give it a try.
It seems as serious viruses go, an antidote for this one, (No)
Its silence kills both old and young, no sense or reason how it begun,
But early months of 2020, the death toll rises yes a plenty.
But let’s forget the blaming game, each countries death rates much the same,
Started small but still increasing, who knows when it will run its season.
New hospitals built at a pace, because yes, it is a race,
To care for those who got the virus, doctors nurses stand beside us,
All carers, nurses, doctors too, risking their lives for me and you,
No respecter of persons this is true, Prime Ministers, princes, vicars too,
Teenagers, children, young and old, coronavirus or Covid-19 as I’m told,
Will spread like wildfire if not controlled.
Stay at home if you can, this virus has no respect of man or woman, rich or poor,
Yes thousands will die before we stop the spread by staying apart,
Let’s listen, obey before breaking more hearts.
Let’s pray to who’s in control and ask Him to save a long lost soul,
To put our trust in Him who cares, to Him who loves to know you share,
And pray for all who’s lost a friend, a loved one, our thoughts, our prayers we send.
To hold each other, up in prayer, to show each one we love and care.
By Facebook, YouTube, social media we share,
For in times like these we need a friend, please keep in touch until this ends.
