HAVING read articles in the Courier over the last few weeks about the sterling efforts of volunteers to pick up litter around Crediton and surrounding parishes, I was more than a bit livid when I went for a walk on the Sandford to New Buildings Road on Sunday.

I came across a bin bag’s worth of household rubbish tipped out on a roadside verge.

I walked past muttering to myself, but decided to investigate further.

Amongst the discarded milk carton, various plastic food containers and other general rubbish I found an envelope with a name and address plus a flyer from a club in Newton St Cyres.

With the help of modern technology (mobile phone) I took a few photographs.

After all the hard work by volunteers to keep our county tidy, this incident is so ignorant and disrespectful.

Can any Courier reader suggest who I should give the information and pictures to so that the fly tipper can be “brought to book”.
