CREDITON Congregational Church held a Holiday Club on Monday, August 2 and Tuesday, August 3 with reduced numbers and safety procedures in place.

Having missed 2020 due to the pandemic children and volunteers were happy to be back and enjoyed a range of games, songs and crafts.

One of the organisers, Sarah Preece, said: “It was great to see the Holiday Club back at Crediton Congregational Church.

“This is run each year by volunteers from the churches in Crediton who were really pleased to be back, having not been able to run the Holiday Club during 2020.

“Several primary school aged children came along to enjoy games, songs, crafts, refreshments, Bible stories and discussions.

“This year’s theme was all about the Olympics, exploring how God gives us talents and abilities and helps us to use them for good.

“We heard the stories of Samson, Esther and Philip in the Bible.”

Children and their families were invited back to Crediton Congregational Church on Sunday, August 8, at 10.30am to share what they had learnt and made during the Holiday Club, and are welcome back on Sundays at anytime!
