THE sewer repair works begin today on Crediton High Street which, given Monday mornings are usually very busy, created an eerie quiet.

All the traders were open in anticipation of some passing trade as access to car parks, parts of the High Street, and Market Street, via Parliament Street still have access.

Please remember to use them during the works.

Bus commuters this morning had to walk from Buccaneers Bar, Union Road to get up to the High Street.
