LYMPSTONE-based SW Comms Band, Devon’s highest-ranked brass band, will represent the West of England at the National Finals in September this year after their sensational win at the Riviera Centre, Torquay, on Saturday, March 11.

Under the direction of new MD, Chris Spreadbury, the recently-promoted band competed in the First Section, after having been in the Second section for several years, and beat off stiff competition from as far away as Bournemouth to achieve success.

The band can next be heard in Crediton at the Parish Church on Saturday, March 25, from 7.30pm, when it presents a programme of music to enjoy.

Proceeds from the concert will go to Crediton and District Rotary Charities.
