MORE than 20 people and companies involved in helping us all get the best care and health advice put their services on show at a community day in Crediton.
Hosted by Devon's Local Involvement Network (LINk Devon), the free open day was held at QECC Upper School, some based in the big marquee, others in the main hall or outside. These included the Salsa dance sessions.
It was for all members of the community to help raise awareness of local health services and healthy living in Crediton.
LINk Devon is a network of more than 800 groups and individuals. It aims to influence health and social care services in Devon by reflecting the needs of local people.
Among the groups at QE were Devon NHS with its chlamydia screening team and a promotion to help smokers stop. Devon PCT, Devon Partnership Trust, Mid Devon District Council, the National Blood Service, St John's Ambulance, Devon County Council with its family information service and workforce development team.
Crediton Children's Centre was there, Devon and Cornwall Police, Mid Devon Safety Partnership, Mid Devon Young Carers and others across the wide spectrum of health and care.
