AS PART of their Harvest Festival, pupils of Yeoford School had huge fun learning about where pumpkins came from, their uses, and about waste.
It was a Harvest with a difference. Children dressed in autumn colours, made a collection of tinned food for the Crediton Foodbank with one group focussing on pumpkin waste, how there is so much more to this orange globe than making a lantern.
All in their own bubbles they prepared and roasted all parts of the pumpkin, seeds included, with a liberal scattering of paprika, and then had a real pumpkin feast.
