CHERITON Fitzpaine Methodist Church held its Harvest Festival Service, which was taken by Mrs Cathy Jerrard, who is from a farming background.
Her husband Andy played the piano to accompany the rousing hymns.
The Chapel was beautifully decorated, including the traditional sheaves of corn provided by Mr Peter Stoyle.
In addition to the normal congregation, there were 10 student Ministers, who were staying at a Retreat Centre near Tiverton and wanted to participate in a Country Harvest.
They greatly enjoyed the Service and took numerous photos. After the Service there was a Lunch prepared by members and friends, which was much enjoyed.
The sum of £106.20 was raised for St Petrock's Homeless Charity and any surplus fruit is to be taken to the charity in Exeter.
