THE newly-refurbished Thelbridge Parish Hall was the setting on Friday, September 21, for the revival of the Annual Harvest Supper.

Cold meats were kindly supplied from local farms, and salads were followed by yummy deserts.

The Parish Council supported the event by donating towards the costs.

Entertainment was provided in the shape of country poems, jokes and a short quiz.

The Hall was cleverly decorated with garlands of hops, large pumpkins and sacks of corn and an abundant selection of fruits and vegetables, plus a small discarded toy tractor surrounded by nettles.

After the meal, the Parish Hall Chairman, Mr Roderick Hayes, thanked all involved in both the refurbishment of the hall and the provision and organising the Annual Harvest Supper.

The Hall has had its walls painted, the floors scrubbed and polished, and has new curtains.

This followed an earlier project to modernise the kitchen. This is an ongoing project and there are more renovations planned for the future. To book the Hall please contact Janet on 01884 860234 or Gill on 01884 860278.
