TO celebrate the 20th anniversary of wizard, Harry Potter, publisher Bloomsbury chose Crediton Community Bookshop as one of just 20 book shops around the country to host an official Harry Potter Trivia Tournament.

The tournament was held on Saturday, July 22 when 10 teams, each made up of four muggles competed for the chance to battle it out and become supreme Harry Potter champions of Mid Devon. Charlie Werner was the quizmaster.

The winning team was made up of Messrs Swimmy, Chalktail, Flatfoot and Bows, who won copies of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Illustrated Edition and a set of hardback house editions for each team member.

The final results were very close and the winners will be one of the 20 teams at the Official Harry Potter Trivia Tournament final, which will take place in London in October against 19 other winning teams from around the country.

The Crediton Community Bookshop thanks everyone who took part and made it such a great and entertaining afternoon.
