New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Mid Devon’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to five restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Ponte Vecchio at 33 - 35 Bampton Street, Tiverton, Devon; rated on June 4

• Rated 5: Al Dente Italian Restaurant at 33 - 35 High Street, Cullompton, Devon; rated on June 2

• Rated 5: Costa Coffee at 15a Bampton Street, Tiverton, Devon; rated on June 2

• Rated 5: Exe Valley Catering LTD. at 8 - 9 Market Walk, Tiverton, Devon; rated on June 2

• Rated 5: Park Hill Nursery Ltd at Park Hill Nursery, Lazenby Road, Tiverton, Devon; rated on June 2

It means that of Mid Devon's 136 similar establishments with ratings, 118 (87%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
