New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to four of Mid Devon’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Canal Tea Rooms and Garden at The Canal Tea Room Lime Kiln Cottage Lime Kiln Road Tiverton Devon; rated on August 1
• Rated 5: Noor Sitara at Cullompton Dining 12 Higher Street Cullompton Devon; rated on August 1
• Rated 5: Splash Cafes at Libraries Unlimited South West Cafe The Hayridge Exeter Hill Cullompton Devon; rated on August 1
• Rated 5: The Orangery Cafe at The Orangery Bridwell Park Uffculme Devon; rated on August 1
It means that of Mid Devon's 123 similar establishments with ratings, 98 (80%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
