WALES and West Utilities closed the A377 in Exeter Road, Crediton, for emergency roadworks this afternoon, Thursday, August 28, due to a gas leak.

The road is closed in both directions between Hillbrow Residential Home (Mill Street) and the ASDA Crediton Express fuel station (Exeter Road) and an alternative route is signposted via the Crediton Link Road at Wellparks Hill.
The road is expected to be closed for some hours, repair works actively underway at the scene.
Motorists are advised to find an alternative route and allow extra time for their journey.
