CHRIS Mann, one of our own Local Preachers, led our service at Crediton Methodist Church on Sunday, February 21. His theme was “God’s unconditional love”.
The reading from Mark 2 was shown as a dramatised video telling the story of how a paralysed man was brought by friends to Jesus and let down through the roof as they could not get into the house.
The friends showed respect, care and concern for the paralysed man and Jesus respected their faith and healed the man.
Chris said it is enough for us to be doing what we can and to accept the unconditional love from God.
By accepting this unconditional love we receive forgiveness for the things in our lives that have been wrong.
Our faith is continually being tested, especially during the difficult days of the pandemic.
All of us have the opportunity to move forward with God and this is seen in how we have adapted to our services on line. We need to identify the most important message of God’s love in our community and to show the love of God in our everyday lives.
By doing this we are fulfilling our role of building God’s Kingdom. “Go in my name and because you believe, others will know that I live’’.
The church is closed again. If you would like to join us live at the Sunday morning services at 10.30am please contact the AV team using the email: [email protected] .
Individual help will be given to work out how you can best access the worship. Alternatively you can watch the service at a later date by going onto: www.creditonmethodist.org.uk .
