A RAINBOW Day was held at Copplestone Primary School to promote friendship and team building.
Children and staff dressed in the colours of the rainbow and enjoyed a range of activities throughout the day.
At lunchtime children and staff enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine on the school field. The dinner ladies prepared food that could be taken outside in a bag so that all the children could join in.
Teacher, Alison Gillard explained: " Rainbow Day is part of SEAL – social and emotional aspects of learning.
"The children were organised into House groups to mix the age groups together. They worked on a variety of activities designed to help the children get to know each other, with the older ones taking care of the younger ones."
The activities included making friendship bracelets and dolls and leading a blindfolded partner along a roped path in the woodland area of the school grounds.
