ONE of the major fundraising events for Bow Primary School each year is the summer fair held at the school, organised by FOBS, Friends of Bow School.

At this year’s fair, stalls were numerous and varied from hand-made items for the home and gifts to jewellery, books, plants, cosmetics and more plus a bouncy castle.

The barbecue and the ice creams did a good trade too.

Providing useful shade was the sports pavilion, funded by FOBS fundraising and the Tesco Community Fund with the school plus local people who helped with work such as taking out the foundations.

As well as providing shade and shelter for sporting events, it is a very useful outdoor classroom, also used by Forest School and for after-school events.

A band played and there were many other games to entertain children and adults alike.

A fantastic £976.97 was raised at the event.
