ONE of the major fundraising events for Bow Primary School was the summer fair held at the school, organised by FOBS, Friends of Bow School.
Stalls were numerous and varied from Traidcraft goods, hand-made items for the home and gifts, jewellery, books, plants, cosmetics and more plus a bouncy assault course.
At least 100 sausages and 100 burgers were cooked at the busy barbecue, plus pulled pork and the ice creams did a good trade too.
Providing useful shade was the sports pavilion, funded by FOBS fundraising and the Tesco Community Fund with the school plus local people who helped with work such as taking out the foundations.
As well as providing shade and shelter for sporting events, it is a very useful outdoor classroom, also used by Forest School and for after-school events.
Three young sheep drew much attention with one challenge being to guess the weight of the black Suffolk mule, lent by James Baskerville of Lammacott Farm.
