QUEEN Elizabeth’s School (QE) in Crediton has unveiled its newly refurbished Sixth Form Hub this term, offering students a fresh, modern space for both study and socialising.
The new Sixth Form area includes a dedicated quiet study zone and an inviting social space adjacent to the main canteen, designed to support both academic focus and peer connection.
The improvements have already made a noticeable impact on student life.

Students have commented positively on the refurbishment saying that: "The study hub has provided us with a focused environment with readily available resources."
"The Sixth Form Forum is a very good communal space where we can socialise separately from the rest of the school but also together as a Sixth Form."
The transformation follows a summer refurbishment project to temporarily re-home the Sixth Form within the Western Road Campus, while the College House building awaits future works.
QE’s Sixth Form, which is part of the Ted Wragg Trust, offers excellent teaching alongside an extensive extra curricular programme designed to develop student confidence and skills.

The Sixth Form encourages young people to become creative and technical intellectuals equipped with the skills needed to thrive at undergraduate level and in employment.
Open mornings are held on the first Friday of every month during term time, between 9am to 11.45am. These give prospective families an opportunity to meet the Head of Sixth Form and enjoy a tour, plus a taster session. Vicky Evans, Head of Sixth Form at Queen Elizabeth’s School said: “The newly refurbished Sixth Form Hub has been very well received by our students.
“They’ve settled in quickly and are making excellent use of the quiet, focused environment during their independent study time.
“In addition, the refreshed social space has created a more relaxed and inviting atmosphere, giving students a comfortable place to connect with their peers throughout the school day. It’s fantastic to see how these improvements are already making a positive impact on their academic and social experiences.”
