Manager, Sharleen who accepted the cheque on behalf of Pippins said: “We currently have 100 children aged from seven months to school age registered with us and 30 members of staff .
“We are very grateful for the donation and we are hoping to re-vamp our staff room so the money will go towards that.
Past Masters Philip Bourne and Peter Howison presented the cheque on behalf of Pete Colman, the Master Phil Eakers and the Brethren of Unity Lodge in Crediton.
The donation was from money contributed in the Brethren’s charity box at the Unity Lodge.
Philip said: “It’s really great what Sharleen and her staff do for these little people. They are our future.
“Pippins Pre-school have a long history in Crediton and lots of children will have attended over the years.”
Philip added: “We do not fundraise but are entirely funded by the generosity of the Freemasons and their families and it’s great that we have money for such worthwhile causes in our community.”
