CHERITON Fitzpaine Parish Hall Committee hosted a Free Tree Giveaway outside the Parish Hall on Saturday, February 11.

People were able to collect between one and five trees to plant in their gardens to help enhance Devon’s tree scapes, all free-of-charge. 

The event was organised by the Devon Wildlife Trust, and each person who took away a tree had information and free tree protection.

All the trees were 20 - 40 cm in height. 

The event was well patronised, and some of the trees, which are UK broadleaf species have already been planted.
