MID Devon District Council announced last month that to support local businesses and to enhance trade in the district’s market towns, 24-hour free parking would be available in some of its car parks on Saturdays in the run-up to Christmas.

Two Saturdays remain, Saturday, December 10 and Saturday, December 17.

The car parks are:

• High Street / St Saviour’s Way car park, Crediton

• Station Road car park, Cullompton

• Multi-Storey car park, Tiverton.

The council is advocating “Shop Local This Christmas”.
