He is holding the shield presented to this year's winners of the annual Crediton and District Industrial Bowls Tournament. Jokingly, the proprietors of Treloars Delicatessen, Crediton, Tracey Valentine and Wendy Denford, told members of their "scratch" team that should they win the tournament they would each be provided with free pasties for a year.
