SINCE January of this year, I have been teaching a group of 16 or so to play Bridge and many of them have been keen enough to continue playing during this summer.
Starting this month, I will be running an improvers’ course which will build on what they have already learnt and prepare them to play in the duplicate club which we will be forming.
We hope to attract new players to the course so do any of the following apply to you?
Are you a relative beginner and would like to raise your game so that you can play at a club?
Have you been playing Bridge regularly but would like to use the Acol system more accurately and improve your play?
Do you play a different bidding system and would like to learn Acol?
Have you played Bridge in the past and would like to take it up again but feel rather rusty?
If your answer to any of these is “yes” then do contact me for more information.
The sessions will contain plenty of opportunity to practice the skills being learnt through bidding and playing hands. Throughout, the emphasis will be learning in an enjoyable, supportive and friendly atmosphere.
There will be 12 weekly sessions to be held on Tuesday evenings at Morchard Bishop Sports and Social Club from 7pm to 9.30pm starting on Tuesday, September 18.
The course is free but there is a small charge for the hire of the hall, for refreshments and for use of the bar.
For more information please call me on telephone 01363 877096.
