NETWORK Rail has announced that emergency works to the Fordton railway crossing in Crediton will take place between midnight tonight, Monday, November 25 and 6am tomorrow morning.

It says that the works are to replace faulty components found during annual testing, adding that if the components are not replaced there is a possibility the crossing could fail in the future.
