Forced inside by rain Bow Fete still made £500 for church

AN uncertain weather forecast sent Bow Summer Fete indoors at the Village Hall, but the event still raided more than £500 for church funds.

The village needs to raise £10,000 a year to keep its Parish Church going. The next fundraising event will be a ferret racing evening at the Village Hall on August 28.

The fete was opened by Dr Andrew Bower who was presented with a buttonhole by four years old Lily Jones. Crediton Town Band played during the afternoon.
