THE first meeting of the year for Cheriton Fitzpaine Garden Club was a workshop led by Florist and Member, Susan Tucker.

One of the flower arrangements in the Spring Show Schedule allows for artificial or paper flowers, and we were able to make paper poppies.

With the help of a glass of wine and Susan’s gentle guidance most people made a fair effort. Show Schedules and Membership Cards were available - our annual subscription is still only £12!

Our next monthly meeting will be on Thursday, March 19 at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall, when Jess Evans, Head Gardener at Knightshayes will be talking to us about pruning. Visitors are always welcome.

Our Spring Exhibition will be on Saturday, March 28 at 2.30pm - not far away!
