A SELECTION co-educational day school from seven to 18, Exeter School is a vibrant, happy and lively place to be.
About 180 pupils attend the Junior School (Years 3 – 6) and 670 the Senior School (Years 7 – 13), sharing many of the extensive facilities on the 25-acre site.
Whilst the range of academic subjects available at Exeter School is impressive. There are also around 30 clubs available – from classics to chapel radio, debating to dance.
There is something for everyone. The school is especially proud of its excellent record in the field of artistic endeavour and a number of major productions are staged throughout the year.
The site is well equipped with a range of first class sports facilities and there are activities to suit all tastes.
In addition to the large playing fields it has its own astroturf arena, heated outdoor swimming pool, sports hall, fitness suite, dance studio and all weather courts.
Older pupils can join the school's own Combined Cadet Force as well as taking part in outdoor pursuits such as the Ten Tors Challenge and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
The school has an excellent record of academic success. In the Summer 2009 A Level exams, pupils achieved 100 per cent pass rate for the sixth successive year and 85.1 per cent of grades were A or B. At GCSE, 66.8 per cent of pupils achieved A or A* grades with 46 candidates scoring 8 or more A/A* grades.
