THE Mid Devon Farming Life Group meeting for June was a farm visit to Appledore Farm, Bow, courtesy of the Blake family.

Chris Blake gave a talk of the history of the farm and the day-to-day running.

Members were also given a tour of their 64 point rotary parlour and how it has greatly improved their milking time.

The visit finished with a walk to see the dairy herd which was mainly Irish Holsteins.

Dave Nicks thanked the Blake family for their hospitality and for an interesting and informative evening.

It was an exceptional attendance with many new faces all interested to see the recent dairy set up.
