ALL at Age Concern Crediton & District were sad to announce the retirement of their volunteer driver, Bob Stacey, whose last day was on Thursday, January 31.

Bob has been an integral part of Age Concern for the last 24 years and the charity said his contributions will always be valued and remembered and his hard work, commitment and unconditional dedication, grace and friendliness are worthy of admiration - Bob will be greatly missed at the centre.

As a tribute Age Concern Crediton organised a lunchtime farewell get-together for staff, volunteers and guests to honour and appreciates Bob as an esteemed volunteer and a great person.

John Musty, Chairman of Age Concern Crediton, thanked Bob and said that by giving up his own time he gave others a better day.

John presented Bob with a voucher for High Tea at Dartington Hall for him and his wife Phyllis who was presented with a bouquet of flowers.

Age Concern guest Mr May, on behalf of all the guests, presented Bob with a pocket watch which was engraved with the date and the words "Health & Happiness".

Everyone at Age Concern Crediton wishes him good health and happiness.

Barrie Nixon will take over from Bob as the new driver for Age Concern.
