TRUSTEES and volunteers working hard behind-the-scenes are proud to announce details of Exeter Pride’s return on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

The Rainbow March will gather from 11.30am at the St Sidwell Centre for a 12 noon start, through Exeter city centre to Northernhay Gardens where local choir Spectrum will be opening the afternoon performances.

The stage will feature a mix of musicians such as local folk duo The Suthering and spoken word rap artist Mama Tokus.

Headliners will be beatboxer and slam supremo Jasmine Gardosis, and a showcase of drag performers from around the South West.

There will also be stalls with local LGBTQ+ organisations and community groups, a range of local food vendors, and refreshments courtesy of Bar Nova.

“The last couple of years have been a financially difficult time for everyone, including our business partners and sponsors,” says Committee Chair Tamsin Scott.

“We have significantly less money to invest than previous years, but it is important for our event to be free for everyone to attend, and we have setup a Crowdfunder to help keep Exeter Pride accessible.”

Not only will the crowdfunder support Exeter Pride 2022, it is also the only way to guarantee entry to Exeter Phoenix’s Pride after-party.

Local venue Pink Moon is also offering free entry all-night to wristband holders!

Tamsin added: “It is vital now that we can come together, be visible, be proud, and stand in solidarity with those who are currently unable to do so. We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone back as our community is what makes Exeter Pride the amazing day it is!”
