A MARCH and vigil in solidarity with all those affected by the attacks in Manchester, London and elsewhere in the world will take place in Exeter tomorrow, Saturday, June 10.

Those who wish to support the march and vigil are asked to meet at the Exeter Mosque from 5.30pm for the march, which will move off at 6pm and go through the High Street to Bedford Square.

The vigil will take place in Bedford Square and include music, speeches and the laying of flowers to remember those who have lost their lives.

Mahi Ahmed, one of the organisers of this event, said: "We want to bring people together in Devon to express solidarity with all those affected in any way by these horrific attacks. Only unity between people of different beliefs and ethnicities can help to prevent further atrocities."

The vigil will end at approximately 7.30pm to allow those who are fasting to return home in preparation for the breaking of their fast.

The march and vigil are supported by Exeter Mosque and Cultural Centre, Exeter Synagogue, Exeter City Council, Devon and Cornwall Police, Transfigurations, Intercom Trust, Exeter Pride, Devon National Union of Teachers, Recovery Devon, Global Centre and Cultural Champions, Fawcett Devon, Refugee Support Devon, EDP Drug and Alcohol Services, Proud 2 Be, Healthwatch Devon and many more.
