SEPTEMBER is shaping up to be a busy month at Crediton Arts Centre.

The season kicks off with Bristol-based band "Lewis Clark and the Essentials", with its unique mix of kitsch vaudeville and roots blues, on Friday, September 14.

Sunday morning on September 16 sees the first visit to Crediton of "Boo To A Goose" Theatre, with its interactive show for pre-school children, "The Magic Garden" at 11am.

Oddbodies return after some years on Friday, September 21 with their one-man version of "King Lear", told from the perspective of "The Fool".

Friday, September 28 sees the month round off with Merchant Ivory’s classic film "The Remains of the Day", starring Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson.

Add to this a series of workshops from Brown Paper Bag on September 13, 20 and 27, leading to the company’s new production of the Dylan Thomas classic "Under Milk Wood", as well as all the regular classes and sessions, and it makes for a hectic time in East Street.

Outside the building the Arts Centre is partnering with Costa Coffee to start a new Open Mic session on Sunday, September 30.

Running from 2pm to 5pm at Costa Coffee in the High Street, The Sunday Session welcomes anyone to perform or just go along and listen.
