THE charity, Farming Community Network, has received a cheque for £1,000.

The money was raised at a concert by Exbourne Community Choir in Hatherleigh Community Centre in June.

Musical Director, Pauline Savage, presented the cheque to Mr Colin Smallacombe, representing the charity.

The presentation took place in Exbourne Playing Field on Saturday August 20.

The farming theme was evident at the presentation with vintage tractors and straw bales kindly provided by John Guy.

The choir wish to thank the following for donating raffle prizes  at the concert: The Bull and Dragon, The Duke of York, The New Inn, The Railway, Exbourne Cross Garage and Brickyard Farm Shop.

The choir also wishes to thank Paul Ancorn and Peter Savage for all their work behind the scenes.
